About Me
I am an 18-year-old student currently in my second year of studying Web Development (MBO4). I focus on building websites and applications that are clean, fast, and easy to maintain.
The Start
I started coding when I was 13 because I wanted to build my own Discord bots. That introduced me to JavaScript, and I’ve been building projects ever since. Along the way, I decided to leave the HAVO in my fourth year and take on an MBO4 education focused on Web Development
My Approach
In school, I am taught traditional tools like PHP, SQL, and WordPress. While I understand their place in the industry, I’ve found that I strongly dislike working with them. I find legacy stacks like PHP and WordPress to be restrictive and inefficient for the way I like to build.
Instead, I have taught myself to use React and Next.js. I prefer the modern component based workflow because it’s faster to develop with and results in much better structured code. For backend tasks, I stick to Node.js as it feels more logical and capable for the projects I enjoy building.
