About Me

I'm a 18 year old student that loves to code and create things. I'm currently learning Web Development and I'm always looking for new projects to work on.

The Start

It all started when I was 13 years old and I wanted to make my own Discord bot. I started learning JavaScript and I've been coding ever since. I've learned a lot of things along the way and I'm always looking to learn more.

I eventually dropped out of Senior General Secondary Education in my 4th year (HAVO for Dutchies) and started doing Secondary Vocational Education level 4 (MBO4) in Web Development. I'm currently in my second year and I'm learning a lot of new things.

Around April of this year I came into contact with a now good buddy of mine and we started a project together, sadly this never came to life. This eventually grew into an organization and we're currently working on a couple of new projects. The organization is called Viola Network. I'm responsible for the development of the website and the Discord bot we use.

Skills

I'm currently learning Web Development and I'm learning a lot of new things. I'm learning HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, SQL and some other things.

On the side I'm teaching myself how to use React, NextJS and NodeJS. NodeJS is mainly used for my Discord bots as I will be using React and NextJS for websites.

I don't love the old school way of creating websites with HTML, CSS, JavaScript and mainly PHP. I have a lot of respect for the people that do but I just don't like it. I prefer using React and NextJS as it's a lot easier and faster to create websites with.

Awards

I've competed in a couple of competitions and I'm always looking to compete in new ones. In January of 2024 I will be competing the Skill Heroes webdevelopment qualifiers. Below you can see the competitions I've participated in and my placements.
